Default Armor bonus question...

Ok, I was reading GWiki and found this:

"The sum of all armor buffs gained from skills and effects cannot exceed +25. However, if one or more effects add more than +25 armor by themselves (for example +40 from Physical Resistance), then the largest of these effects counts as the total buff, even if it is larger than +25."

Now, if I have a dreadnaught insignia on all pieces of my armor (+10 ar vs ele dmg), and I have Defy Pain elite skill active (+20 Ar), do I get the +10 ar vs ele & +20 ar bonus? My question I guess is do insignias on armor count as an armor buff, or as base armor?

Now, and easier one (I think)...if I have Defy Pain active (+20 ar), and then I have Watch Yourself! on (let's say +10 ar), then since both are armor buffs, and DP is the larger buff of the two, then do I get +20 from DP, and only +5 from WY, since I can only have +25, or does WY not even count?

You do get the +10vs ele and +20ar from defy pain.

For 2nd question, im not 100%, but in think you will get +25ar.

Insignia are not part of the "armor buff" equation as their effect is not global. The limit applies to armor increases obtained from skills, etc. that affect your whole body.
Quote from update notice: "Bonuses from shields, weapons, insignia, and inscriptions are not affected and still stack."

As to question 2; You will get the +5 from "Watch Yourself" while both skills are active. If Defy Pain ends before WY, you will have the max armor buff that your attributes allow with WY.

And off course your teammates get the full benefit of WY even if yours is capped.

The +25 armor cap is for things you can see on your effects monitor. If the armor bonus doesn't show up there, it doesn't count towards the cap.

So yes, that example Ritualist would have 94 armor.

So how does this +25 limit work with the PvE skills in GWEN ?

There's a dwarf one that gives you +24 armour and another +24 armour against Destroyers. And the Vanguard one that gives +24 armour and another 24 against char.

If these have a cap of +25 whats the point of adding the racial bonus - could someone explain please ?
